Craft Supply Swap

Connecting our community of artists, crafters, and makers with unused supplies.

Do you have stashes of art and craft supplies from past interests that go unused? Have you moved on to a new muse? Here’s your opportunity to try something new and trade materials with a community who will use them! In addition to the joy of finding new-to-you supplies and letting go of those you do not use (get ready to make someone's day!), we welcome you to connect with other creative folks at these events.  

What is This?! 🧑‍🎨

We will accept almost any art or craft supply. Donated items should be in good, usable condition. Drop them off and then go "shopping" from what others have brought. We will sort and arrange all the materials into a second-hand craft supply extravaganza. 

• Swap items are free.

• You do not have to bring supplies to participate in the Swap. Swappers do get to shop first.

• Please join us in the spirit of this event: to get materials into the hands of people who will use them, saving money and waste - no stashing.

• Items not taken by swappers will be redistributed through Creative Reuse Montana! (Request Supplies) We work hard to find a new home for every last supply. Some of the items may end up in the Creative Reuse Montana shop (including kits or workshops), partners, or be shared with local programs through our Art & Education Supplies project.

What to Bring

Each swap has a list of Suggested Materials. All swaps are about usable crafting and art making materials and supplies. 

• Bring clean, new or gently used craft supplies donations. 

• Please don’t bring items that need repair (items that cannot be used immediately and without rehabilitation as a crafting material, supply, or tool).

Who We Are 🙌

Swaps are organized with 💜 by Creative Reuse Montana and your community artists, crafters, and makers. The swaps are a gift to our community. 💖 The Swap is a creative, community exercise in abundance that we look forward to each fall (and spring, depending on volunteer availability). 

The Craft Supply Swap is how Creative Reuse Montana got started! We wondered if we could make more creative supplies available to our community between swaps - especially over the winter - and the shop is our answer to that! We love connecting with creative folks and groups and would love to team up with you for pop-ups.
